It might seem like a formality to “launch a V2” of content that actually iterates very linearly and continuously, but the human side is what makes this important. Always feels great to call something “done” and lean back for a moment and appreciate what the community made happen. And continuous improvement may not be visible if you don’t pay close attention, so making an announcement also helps with that.
As for next steps, varying things are
already under way (ah, the joy of Github maintenance). A few of us had a spontaneous 2-hour video live stream session this morning to discuss some of the open issues and what we want to work on. While there are a few big tickets, there really is a lot of small refinement work to do that will take time to focus and work through.
